| Foreign citizens will not need Georgian translation of their Passport any more |
Foreign citizens will not need to produce Georgian translation of their passport in offices of Civil Registry Agency of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia any more.
Today, Deputy Minister of Justice, head of Civil Registry Agency Mr. Giorgi Vashadze held a briefing concerning the above mentioned legal novelty.

| There would not be any person without citizenship status in Georgia |
Legislative changes for protection of citizen’s rights have taken place. Concerning this, today, Deputy Minister of Justice, head of Civil Registry agency Mr. Giorgi Vashadze gave a press conference.
According the changes carried out in “Organic Law on Citizenship Issues”, person will leave the citizenship only in case if he/she will be granted the citizenship of foreign country.

| Georgian Citizens living abroad will fill applications for passport in online regime |
Georgian Citizens living abroad have opportunity to fill applications for Georgian Passport in online regime.
Before now citizens living abroad had to go and apply for receiving passport to the consular offices of Georgia. With the filling applications in online regime citizens will significantly save time and expenses.
Today, in 23rd of August, Deputy Minister of Justice, Head of Civil Registry Agency Mr. Giorgi Vashadze gave a press conference concerning this news.

| Ministry of Education and Science will receive information from the Civil Registry Agency in online regime |
Civil Registry Agency of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia and the Ministry of Education and Science signed memorandum of collaboration.
Above mentioned memorandum was signed by the Deputy Minister of Justice, Head of Civil registry Agency Mr. Giorgi Vashadze and First Deputy Minister of Education and Science Mr. Koka Seferteladze.

| 11 408 documents were verified with the apostil in Civil Registry Agency |
During one year 11 408 documents were verified with the apostil in Civil Registry Agency of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia, 4 601 documents were legalized and 13 008 documents translated in different languages.
It would be one year in 15th of July 2010 since Civil Registry Agency is providing legalization and verification of documents with the apostil necessary to be produced in foreign countries. Before 15th July 2009 Central Apparatus of the Ministry of Justice was responsible for these issues.
Procedures for legalization and verification with the apostil have been significantly simplified. Together with Tbilisi it is already possible to verify documents necessary for producing in foreign countries in Kutaisi and Batumi.
10 days are determined for legalization and verification of documents with the apostil. Together with this faster service was established in case of paying additional fee for this and citizens can get necessary documents legalized or verified with the apostil the same day, next day or in five days.

According the 6 month data of this year, most often newborn children are named Nikoloz and Mariam. We have to mention, that till this time the most popular boy name was Giorgi.
According the information provided by the Information-analytical unit of the Civil Registry Agency of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia, depending on unified database of the agency, using the 6 month statistics of 2010 year the most popular man names are: Nikolozi – 1812 (among them Nikoloz and Nika), Giorgi – 1704, Luka – 1256, Saba – 1147, Davit – 691, Andria – 422, Aleqsandre – 352, Sandro – 296 and etc.

| Civil Registry Agency made a present to the oldest woman in Georgia |
In 8th of July 2010 year, the oldest woman of Georgia, living in village Sachino, Tsalenjikha region, Antisa Khvichava celebrated her 130th birthday. Civil Registry Agency of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia together with the representatives of local municipality congratulated venerable woman with this remarkable date.
The oldest woman received gift-baskets full with sweets and Georgian wine from the Civil Registry Agency. Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti governor’s office and Tsalenjikha municipality gave gratuity to Antisa Khvichava on her 130th birthday and awarded her with the title of honorary citizen of Tsalenjikha. Journalists have also congratulated venerable woman with the birthday and representatives of media gifted her cake to celebrate this day.
Antisa Khvichava, born at the end of 19th century, in 8th of July 1880 year, thanked guests for congratulations and gifts and wished them long life. The oldest woman is living in village Sachino of Tsalenjikha region with her children, grandchildren and grand-grand children.

In 8th of July, the oldest woman of Georgia, living in village Sachino, Tsalenjikha region, Ms. Antisa Khvichava will celebrate her 130 birthday. Civil Registry Agency of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia is congratulating venerable woman with this remarkable date.
Antisa Khvichava, born at the and of the 19th century, in 8th of July 1880 year, is living in village Sachino of Tsalenjikha region with her children, grandchildren and grand-grand children.
